Who is One Chick?

My name is Debbie and I am a Ballymaloe trained chef. My passion has been desserts and breads for the last 20 years. I started One Chick in 2019 combining my love for baking and art. My home kitchen is inspected and certified by the HSE, based in gorgeous Co. Kerry. Even though I am working out of my home kitchen, no order is too large with enough notice. I am proud to have made cookies for events for companies such as Coca Cola, Salesforce, Fexco, RDI Hub, Qualcomm, Hendrick’s Gin and Bondi Sands.

Printing

Printing of the design is done with edible food colouring on an edible printer, which does not always work exactly as regular ink would. I will try to get as close to the colours in your design, but please note that it is not always feasible.

Eco Friendly Packaging

All cookies are individually heat sealed and packed in biodegradable transparent bags made from bioplastic - a corn based product - where possible. These can be composted with your kitchen waste.

I take the utmost care when it comes to packaging ready for posting. All cookies are wrapped in bubble wrap - which I get used from an art dealer and cut to size - to prevent breakage to the cookies and packed in recyclable cookie boxes within the (re-used) shipping box to add extra protection. Please note that once I hand over the shipping boxes to AnPost it will be out of my hands and can not be kept accountable for what happens then.

Posting

I use AnPost 1-3 business day delivery with tracking unless you ask me to use a courier such as DPD. In the case of a courier I will get back to you on the postage.

Posting using AnPost 1-3 business day is €9.50 or multiple, depending on the size of the order.

In a rush?

Sometimes you are not able to give me 2-3 weeks notice, it happens. Please be advised, that I may charge you a rush fee of 15% on the total amount if the shipping / delivery date is less than 10 business days.

Cancellation

I know that sometimes life gets in the way and you may need to cancel the order. As all cookies are baked to order I ask you to cancel asap. As I require all payment in full up front, I will refund the full amount if cancelled more than 10 business days before shipping / pick up date. If less than 10 business days, it will depend on how much work I have done to date.

For specialty orders - for example posting to multiple addresses and large orders over 250 cookies - I require a 20% deposit which is non-refundable if the order is cancelled 10 business days before shipping / pick up date.
